Sample questions (1 of 1)

  1. Question 1

    The line y = 2x + 1 has gradient 2. Plot three points on the parallel line y = 2x - 3: (0, -3), (1, -1) and (2, 1).

    Show answer

    Answer:

    y = 2x - 3 has the same gradient as y = 2x + 1 (both 2), so they're parallel. Sub x = 0, 1 and 2 to get y = -3, -1 and 1.
